Positiong: Game Designer

Candidates must have a high degree of passion for their projects and must be a team player. In this role, you will work closely with the Interactive Director and Senior Game Designer to define the vision for individual game concepts and to help carry the vision to completion.

The ideal candidate must be able to maintain the design vision for multiple projects. The candidate will be required to collaborate extensively with all members of the team to ensure that all features of the design meet a high quality bar. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting in designing game concepts and proposals that reflect a strong knowledge of current market trends and customer expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to think in a structured fashion about game feature attributes.
  • Ability to design/create within given design restraints.
  • Experience working on products that have an ongoing service component.
  • Experience with using user metrics to help shape game design.
  • Maintaining the system through the life of the project, expanding, shrinking, modifying based on user feedback and the development process.
  • Maintain design and creative direction on internal game projects using a strong knowledge of game mechanics
  • Work with the production team throughout the development of a product, solving design-related issues
  • Assist in design of innovative game concepts for the casual
  • Update detailed game design documents composed of functional, technical, and artistic specifications
  • Understand and contribute to the overall company goals

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Broad knowledge of game design / game mechanics / game balancing concepts and techniques.
  • Comfortable with composition of story and game-flow.
  • Strong knowledge of Online Games and the Online Games industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing, fast-paced creative environment.
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts.
  • Basic understanding of game art production.
  • Must have experience designing and bringing to market multiple successful casual game designs
  • 2+ years in a design role in the Online Games industry
