Positiong: Director of Interactive

As the Director of Interactive at Nerd Corps Entertainment, you will drive the creation of profitable, meaningful and engaging online experiences based on the company’s television properties. You will lead a talented team of artists, designers and developers in the production of a wide away of products, from MMOs to microsites, casual games and mobile applications, geared to the children’s demographic. Your involvement and guidance is critical in all phases of a project, from inception to completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the executive, creative and development teams to deliver effective, innovative, revenue generating digital content
  • Lead and oversee show sites and games throughout production and on through the project lifecycles
  • Identify long term objectives, help shape strategic and creative direction and ensure high quality content
  • Work with Project Manager to ensure that process, workflow, documentation, and tools are upheld and/or improved, and that resources are well managed
  • Develop ways to increase site traffic and optimize revenue wherever possible; set goals and track analytics
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Licensing and Series Development to ensure that a property’s strategic objectives are understood in concept development, and met in final product. Help to identify and implement crossover opportunities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of online producing experience at a major commercial media, entertainment or creative brand or interactive agency, primarily targeted to the children’s demographic
  • Experience in multiplatform content extensions and original content production
  • Experience managing interactive teams, mentoring and providing creative guidance
  • Knowledge of the kid-targeted interactive business and its players both locally and internationally
  • Ability to qualify innovative ideas with top-notch research
  • Working knowledge of best practices in user flow and navigation, site promotion, cross-linking and social media
  • Strong hands-on wire-framing capabilities, demonstrating excellent understanding of what makes a good web project for kids

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Confident in interactive/software development process from an information architecture, interaction design, design and technical perspective
  • Strong written and spoken command of the English language
  • An excellent communicator with team and clients alike
  • Quick-thinking, accurate, hands-on and a a problem-solver with a roll-up-your-sleeves, get things done mentality
  • Have an excellent ability to estimate the production time and resources required for a project
  • Someone who enjoys a challenge and breaking new ground in a burgeoning field
